good...then I can learn to read!

So... today we (Lucy, Ethan and I ) were driving along looking for a new park to test out when Lucy spied one of the schools which she asumed was a park cause of the forts and open fields.
ME: No Luce, that's a school, you can't play there unless you are a school kid at school.
L: Oh, will they have a park at school when I go there?
ME: Yes they will have forts and outside play equipment. They'll have them at Kindy too.
L: Oooo what else will they have at Kindy?
ME: Lots of stuff, painting and playdough, puzzles and singing, stories and outside time, lots of kids to play with it'll be great!
L: will there be a teacher
ME: Yep, definately
L: Good then she can teach me to read!....

That's my girl, 3 and a half (almost) and all she wants to do is learn to write her name and read! It was one of those conversations that really showed me how old she is getting. Hope she's not too disapointed though when she gets to Kindy and they read her the stories instead of teaching her to read them. She's been "reading" since before she was two...she finds text where ever we are (street signs, number plates, L and P plates) She is into signs in a big way and loves to know what they all mean... she can find her letter and the letter for Mummy, Daddy, Ethan, Buzz and Ashka...anywhere! and I think that's pretty cool!
